Folding Guide Gate
Folding guide gates with protective hiding panels allow drivers to remain safely in the trailer and protected from animals while being unseen providing a smoother loading process.
Roll-Up Door Fillers
Merritt’s door gap filler keeps livestock warmer in the winter by eliminating the wind that comes in through the gate. This option is also removable for warmer months when more airflow is needed.
Steel Sub Frame
All Merritt trailers are built with a welded steel subframe, designed to maximize strength, durability, and the overall longevity of your trailer. Our steel frames undergo a two-part painting process, providing enhanced protection against corrosion and electrolysis, ensuring your trailer remains reliable and resilient for years to come.
30” Side Door Holdback
A single-hand-operation-cable-style pull cord allow for easy washouts without the doors closing on you.
Loading Ramps with Built-In Cleating
1″ humps on 5″ centers on all ramp locations.

Roof Hatch
Keep your drivers safe and give your livestock extra ventilation when the weather requires it. The Merritt roof is built to handle this popular option.
Bio-Security Cross Member
Merritt’s bio-security cross-member is an enclosed extrusion that will shed manure and wash water quick & easy.
Walker-Style Spring-Locking Pins
This latch style is spring-loaded and easily locks in place. The spring tension prevents animals from lifting the pin.
Hog Filler Tubes
Merritt Hog Legend trailers come standard with hog filler tubes to prevent any animals from falling between the decks.
Single-Handed Drop Ramp
Drop ramps at the nose and doghouse create an easy one-handed operation creating a safer work space for drivers.
Superior Ventilation
The 3” round hole creates an air vortex that literally sucks air into the trailer as it travels down the road. No other design can create this effect. The double-embossed large viewing hole will resist dents and allow for better visual inspection of your livestock. Using punched side doors your Merritt will have superior ventilation that provides positive airflow and ventilation in any conditions.

30″ side door holdbacks allow for easy washouts without the doors closing on you
Crank-Up Front Deck
No need to throw deck any more. Two or three-position crank-up decks are fast and easy and provide better animal footing than regular planks. A solid deck section means less freezing and worn hinges after years of use.
Extra Divide Gates
Need more compartments to haul split loads? Adding extra center gates is the answer.

Front Funnel Gate

Lay-Down Doghouse
Single-pull handles allow easy one-handed operation for lowering the foldable doghouse, leaving the other hand to gently guide the floor to its resting place.
