Loading Ramps
52″ Corrugated Loading Ramp
The corrugated loading ramp features 2″ tall steps, providing secure footing for livestock when loading or unloading. It can be installed on either the curbside or roadside and is standard with a spring assist for easier operation.
52″ Flat Loading Ramp
The flat loading ramp is designed with a smooth rubber floor, making it effortless to use a wheelbarrow or load a quad. It can be installed on either the curbside or roadside and is standard with a spring assist for easier operation.
Side Doors
Our side doors are available in 36″ and 52″ width options, offering flexibility to suit your trailer’s design. They can be installed on either the roadside or curbside, ensuring versatility for your specific needs. Built for durability and security, each door comes equipped with a robust stainless steel handle, providing enhanced protection and long-lasting performance.

This features a swing-open gate panel inside a standard full gate.

Movable Gate
Merritt’s movable gate is one of many gate options that allows the owner to designate the distances between the gates, allowing for custom compartment sizing. This floating gate travels from the fender well to the front of the trailer and can lock into every post.
Rear Gate
Roll-Up Door
Merritt Gooseneck trailers can be ordered with a rollup door in the same style as the Livestock Semi Trailers in lieu of the standard rear swing gate.
Swing Door
A full swing door option is available for those who prefer a simpler, more traditional design. The full swing door offers easy operation, providing straightforward access to your trailer with minimal effort and maximum reliability.
Rear Door Punch Pattern
The rear door is available in four distinct punch pattern options, allowing you to customize your trailer’s ventilation needs without the requirement to match the side punch pattern. Choose from a solid rear door with no vent holes, two rows of vent holes, four rows of vent holes, or eight rows for maximum ventilation.
Tie Loop Package
This option installs two tie loops on each side of the rear door of your Gooseneck trailer, strategically positioned at 31″ and 66″ below the bottom of the cove. These tie loops provide secure attachment points for your load/funnel gates.
Tie Rails
Inside Tie Rails
Rails are ordered by post length – only buy as much or as little as you need.
Outside Tie Rails
Outside tie rails can be installed wherever you want on the trailer’s sides. Rails are ordered by post length so you can simply buy the amount you need.
Inside/Outside Tie Loops
Tie loops can be ordered inside or outside in any post location, high or low mounted.
Lights
Custom light locations are available upon request.
Lighted Sign Box
Enhance the appearance of your trailer with a lighted sign box, designed to display lettered signs or custom graphics. This illuminated feature not only completes your trailer’s look but also ensures visibility, making your message or branding stand out, day or night.
Front Nose Marker Lights
This option adds three marker lights, centered on the front cove section of the nose, enhancing visibility and safety while giving your trailer a more distinctive look.
Side Cove Marker Light Packages
This option adds three marker lights to the roof cove of your trailer, positioned on both the road and curbside. The lights are evenly spaced from the front gusset post to the center of the fender, ensuring enhanced visibility and a balanced look.

Nose Access Door
Enhance convenience with a nose access door, providing easy entry to the front of your trailer from either the road or curbside.
6″ Running Boards
The 6″ wide running boards provide a stable and secure foothold, ensuring easy access to your trailer. Featuring a tapered front corner, these boards are designed to minimize snagging on brush and limbs, offering both durability and convenience. Available for 7′ wide trailers only.
Goldline Trim Package
Elevate the appearance of your Merritt trailer with the addition of a sleek gold roof cove. This stylish upgrade enhances the trailer’s overall look, providing a sharper, more polished finish that sets your trailer apart.
Rub Rail
Enhance and preserve the integrity of your trailer’s interior with smooth posts along the sidewalls, designed to protect against animals rubbing or bumping the walls.
Drop Gate
Optional drop gates are available at the nose of the trailer, providing an added layer of security to keep your gear in place and prevent it from shifting or coming loose during transport.
Side Angle Rails
Side angle rails are offered in three elevations road and curbside, providing convenient access to your trailer.
Gravel Guard
Shield your trailer from gravel and road debris with the Chip Protector package. This upgrade adds durable diamond plate to the front of your trailer, as well as to the front of the fenders on 7′ wide models, offering enhanced protection and a rugged, long-lasting finish.
Skid Plate Extension
Enhance the durability of your trailer with the optional Skid Plate Extension. This upgrade provides additional protection to the undercarriage, helping to prevent damage from rough terrain and obstacles, and ensuring your trailer stays in top condition during heavy use.

Our ribbed .125 thick aluminum decking provides superior slip resistance and solid footing, thanks to the tallest tread plate button heads available on the market. Flat Floor
Our flat floors are constructed from durable .157″ aluminum and feature a .25″ offset humped corrugation to prevent sagging between cross-members, ensuring long-lasting stability and strength. These floors provide a smooth, reliable surface, perfect for use with optional rubber matting for added comfort and protection.
Cleat Package
Welded-in aluminum floor cleating can provide more traction.
Punch Pattern Options
Hole Pattern #101
Our standard configuration punch pattern works well in most climate conditions.
#105 Max Ventilation Punch
A double set of upper & lower-level punching provides maximum ventilation for warmer climates.
Access Hole Pattern #103
Reduces the standard punch pattern by one set of 3” holes. This pattern will reduce air movement into the trailer.
Ventilation
Basket-Face Pie-Plate Vents
Increasing air movement is easily done from the front of the trailer using these adjustable “pie-plate” vents.
Hole Plug Kits
Hole plug kits are an easy way to close up the trailer in cold climate conditions. Kits can be ordered with the trailer or aftermarket to your specific trailer length and punch pattern.
